Hair static please help!!!?

Hello everyone....Every winter i get horrible static....I have tried syrums for hair, hair spray I do not like. I can't seem to find static guard anymore either...Can someone give some ideas what can help with static? why is it only winter? is it because I die my hair? what else can I try :( thanks!

Hmm,,, well what helps me is getting my hair wet then it's not as annoying. But of course you can't go through your day with a cup of water in your hand and splashing it on your hair every so often. I really wouldn't know, sorry, but you could try more updo's and keep it out of your way, compliment with a nice warm scarf.

if u take a fabric softner sheet and rub it though your hair you can get rid of the static!

Carry dryer sheets... no joke. use good conditioner in the shower to keep it from drying out. or use some conditioner or lotion to smooth it down after styling. (not too much though because it'll make you look greasy).

use orange juice when showering about 1 cup for every foot of hair use it after u shampoo and try to use fructis...spelling... shampoo

ok, its the dry air thats doing it, so here are some ideas

get a dryer sheet (the anti static kind that you toss in so your socks dont stick to your shirts) and just run it along your hair and brush.

you can also put lotion on your hands, rub it in like you normally do, then run your fingers thru your hair, if you part your hair, part it first so you know what is going to show so you know more of where its needed.

and if you can find it, you can get the static guard that you spray on while ironing and spray that one your brush

our whole bodies become dryer in winter it is normal with electric heat and the cold weather....just moisturise your hair more and you shouldn't have the problem anymore, just better conditionner...

I have the same problem but I haven't dyed my hair in a long time. It depends on what brush and what shampoo and conditioner set you use. I use Garnier Nutriesse Sleek and Shine shampoo and conditioner and a Garnier Nutriesse leave in conditioner and hair syrum, also by Garnier, but I'm not sure what its called. It's in a small round bottle. It looks like a soap dispenser. What type of brush do you use? To control my static, I use a Scunci plastic brush.

Also, if you flip your hair upside down and towel dry it or even blow dry it, that creates a lot more static. I've had a bad experience with that.

i have the same thing but its more of a frizz. i use straightening balm or stuff.i get really really frizzy especially when i am doing my hair under a furnace. i dono i have been askin for help so i dont kn0w. well bye
