Hair suggestions?

You could get a permanent straightener. Like, you go to a salon and they put a straightening chemical in your hair. You'll probably still have to use a straightener sometimes, but it won't take nearly as long.

Hair suggestions?

I have the same type of hair!

What I do is either straighten it, or wear it down with a headband (from forever 21) with a little bow on it..Really cute. Or I wear it up with little glittery clips holding the ponytail holder. Sometimes I wear it in a messy bun, usually on fridays when the day is more relaxed (except for tests ugh!) Anyway back on topic.

If you really like the straighten it...divide it into 7 sections and straighten each section one at a time. I use the CHI flat iron so it goes really quick!

Hair suggestions?

OMG! my hair is the same exact way! hehe. I sometimes put it half up and wear the bottom curly or even straight b/c it doesnt take as long to just straiten the bottom. I wear it up alot too, and I get complements just make sure its cute when you put it up no just like stupid old ponytail. put it in a higher messy bun. and add some ribbon. I also sometimes take a little bit of hair on the top of my head and clip it back. thats cute too. well those are some suggestions. hope they help!

Ughh....Frizzy hair!?

I am 13 and, unfortunatly, I inherited frizzy hair from my mom. Whenever its hot or windy outside my hair gets frizzy, and it is so annoying! (But sometimes its just frizzy without it being hot or windy) Especially since my hair is very thick and long. Is there any way to reduce the frizz without using a ton of hair spray??

Ughh....Frizzy hair!?

..these are great products but invest on a satin pillow case...best to you..

Ughh....Frizzy hair!?

John Freida Frizz-Ease line of shampoo and serum and products. works WONDERS

Ughh....Frizzy hair!?

There's an amazing spray out there, called Zero Frizz.

http://www.shop.com/+-a-Zero+Frizz+spray...

This stuff is amazing! Careful not to put too much on your roots, as it will make them look greasy. My advice is to start at the ends of your hair. Spray a few pumps on the ends, work that throught with your fingers, and then go up a bit on your hair. Spray from about 12 inches away and let it mist onto your hair, and just comb through with your fingers, and then with a wide comb or brush. Good luck!

Ughh....Frizzy hair!?

use garnier's line sleek n shine i have frizzy ends and i use the sleek n shine leave in crem and then i falt iron my hair

Ughh....Frizzy hair!?

I have not had success with the John Freda line of products, and know other people who feel that they do not work either. The best way to tame frizzy hair is with a pomade in my experience, the best I have found is Aveda's anti-humicent pomade.

Whats the best shampo for damage hair?

i do my hair straight, i use hair spray and all of that

so now my hair is damage

i mean can't go nowhere without putting something on my hair bcuz if i dont it gets all puffy and ugly

Whats the best shampo for damage hair?

gurl i used to be streghtening my hair befor i went anywhere! i even tried nearly all the products there is for hair like ours. my hair use to nice and shiny..then dried up frizz nappy hair (somtimes it was hard for me to even comb! ouch)... den i used:

Redken Extreme Shampoo Liter; "Extreme Shampoo cleanses and restores strength to distressed hair so it looks and feels healthier and more manageable"

my hair is so healthy gurl! and i love it! it may take the full bottle to see result but its worth it bc i dont have to deal with it. i can now leave the house without combing and it stills look great! i never thot any hair products will repair my hair but it did. you can find it in salons, nd at sally professional stores. its affordble! gurl im telling you, when u try it, u will definitly love it!

Whats the best shampo for damage hair?

try pantene restoratives shampoo

Whats the best shampo for damage hair?

Any shampoo with Olive oil in it. It works really well like

khiels at macys its 18 bucks but its worth it!

Whats the best shampo for damage hair?

Yeah!!! Paul Mitchell or Joico are two really great brands that you can find in a professional salon! I know this b/c my mom is a hairdresser!

Look on the bottle; it should tell you to use it if you have damaged hair!!

Hope this helps!

Whats the best shampo for damage hair?

I am a hairdresser and I would recommend Biologe ultra-hydrating shampoo. If your hair is damaged you need to use conditioner. I would recommend biologe conditioning balm daily and Paul Mitchell hair repair weekly. All of this you can get in a salon. If you cannot afford professional product I would use herbal essence( they should have some kind of label that said hydrating or something). Salon selective is one of the better ones. Store bought shampoos have a high PH balance, and damage the hair, u should really try professional product. For frizz use Paul Mitchells super skinny when wet and bed head after party when dry.

Whats the best shampo for damage hair?

Bumble and Bumble and also Goldwell has a great shamp. %26amp; conditioner for dry damaged hair. also try to not put stuff in your hair for awhile, you could also go to a stylist to give you a haircut that would be more manageable

Whats the best shampo for damage hair?

I think you should check out www.biolustreflorida.com

Instantly repairs your hair, increase tensile strength=staying power=retaining what you have, so no flyaways in tub or brush=longer hair in a month.

I just went to their launch party and had my hair done, free as a demo. Its amazing, my hair was breaking off and flying away. I will always always buy this stuff. Its awesome, I saw a difference as soon as she rinsed my hair. I have been using it now for a couple of months and I have virgin hair now, but I did see a huge difference after the first time!

You should check it out and watch their video on their first page of their website, its very cool.

Instant Hair Repair for REAL best on dry, dull, damaged and overprocessed hair, thats what their website says. So I know it will help you, Good Luck!

I have a lot of hair but it is thin and wavy. After I shampoo it no matter what it goes kind of flat on me. Everytime I try blow dry or mousse or hair spray it gets all dull, grey, glued, flyaway etc. Help! What is the answer? Looking for personal experience or product recommendations, not links. African american hair products?

I am a young black female. I don't like using some african american hair products on my hair (for example grease, hair spray ect) because I don't like all the grease in my hair and the feeling of it being weighed down. So I was just wondering can africian americans use products like garnier fructis or bed head or catwalk? I know some black females who use this stuff and actually love it.

African american hair products?

i think you should give it a try....i tried shampoos%26amp; conditioners, hair serum, just about everything you can name in my hair and they all worked fine so go for it....i know exactly what your talking about when you say the african americans products weigh your hair down and it likes you have no body to your hair....the only hair lotion i think that is pretty good for african americans and don't weight your hair down is designers touch grocomplex 5000 and luster pink grocomplex 3000 there very light on your hair...

African american hair products?

African american hair products?

You know, it depends on what look you are going for. I have a product by Redken that works really good for my hair. It's really light and I honestly don't know what the purpose is for it, but I like it. My hair dresser used it on me. I don't have a perm though so I just get my hair flat ironed.

African american hair products?

My daughter is African (from Africa). I have curly hair as well, so I use some of the same products on my hair as hers. Just plain anti- frizz serum after washing to help comb out the tangles gives it a nice shine and smoothes it out. Maybe you would find it works for you. It definitely doesn't give the greasy feel unless you use too much....

African american hair products?

I say try it. I have used other products as well. I don't like my hair being weighed down either.

African american hair products?

It depends because not all black people have the same hair. you should try it though to see if you like it.

I use creame of nature now that work really good!

African american hair products?

well my two best friends are arfrican american and they say they buy there stuff at "sally's" and the stuff thats good i think is that pink stuff

African american hair products?

i have really thick crazy unruly curly unmanageable hair.... i use pantene for women of color (in a brown bottle).. i really think their products are great! the shampoo and conditioner have extra moisturizers for hair that gets dry quickly or breaks easily. they have styling products as well, it is better than grease but keeps your hair just as shiny and manageable and it doesnt weigh the hair down!

African american hair products?

Definitely! Hair texture is different for everyone. For example, just about every black woman I know uses Pink Lotion but I can't because it just sits on my hair and makes it very heavy. You should definitly widen your scope and experiment with all types of products.

African american hair products?

i think you should try sally`s beauty supply store. they sell a lot of really good hairproducts for cheap.

I have curly hair, but it always seems to frizz. What is a good product to use?

My hair is so hard to "tame" lol. I cant just wake up and put hairspray and go. I have to take a shower every morning because it has to be wet before i put my hair spray/gel in it. Right now I use Fructis Style curl shaping spray gel. any other product you think would be good???

I have curly hair, but it always seems to frizz. What is a good product to use?

I have curly hair that tends to get wavy or frizz - cannot brush it after it is curly. I used John Frieda Frizz Ease "Dream Curls" - this works better than any pricey hair product i've used to tame my hair. I finish it off with a little of the Redken "Gloss 01" (lightly touch your hair with it...don't run fingers through hair). For days when my hair dried while i was sleeping and is "curly" when i wake up, i redefine curls with the John Frieda and then use a little Sebastian "potion 9". These are great products, but with curly hair you always have to keep trying until you find one that works for you.

Hair problemz?

i have st8 hair and whenever i try to curl it...it comes out st8 no matter wat

i tried a curling iron...gel...hair spray...shampoo....nothing wrks

does anyone kno anythin dat will make ma hair curly and have it stay that way all day??

Hair problemz?

because i would really like a best answer today...i will tell you the secret

curl your hair so it is still damp in a curling iron(do it well)

after that put it in a bun so your hair twists all the way up and then forms into a spiral in a circle

sleep in that and then in the morning take them out and blow dry your hair and crunch your hair with your hands for a bit before

it will make the difference :) it worked for me and my hair is not only straight...but thin...ughh

Hair problemz?

Have you tried sleeping with curlers in your hair?

Hair problemz?

maybe a perm? they have nice perms now not the kind everyones moms had in the 80's

Hair problemz?

braiding your hair while its still wet. Undo when dry! It'll stay wavy till u wash it! Have fun!

Why is my straight hair curly?

I'm Asian (female) %26amp; my hair is straight %26amp; fine. But if you look closely, individual hairs on my head are very wavy. Some strands are thick and curly. WHY IS THIS? Isn't someone's hair supposed to be just straight or just curly? I don't do anything to my hair except occasional blow drying and hair spray. No perming, coloring, ponytails, gel, etc.

Why is my straight hair curly?

This should be normal. Every hair has its different shape and form, so it's okay if some of your hair is thicker than others, has natural highlights, or is wavier or curlier than others. I hope this information helped you.

Why is my straight hair curly?

humidity can make your hair curly

Why is my straight hair curly?

Has it always been that way or is this a new development? If it's new, you may want to ask a doctor. Or did you just get a hair cut? I had LONG hair for quite some time. When I finally cut it off my hair was so wavy! I guess it was just weighed down before.

Or, like the other person said, it could be humidity. And the fact you don't put much product in your hair could be aiding the frizz.

Why is my straight hair curly?

It just happens that way, my hair is thick and i have to flat iron it everyday because all the hair underneath is curly or wavy and the top is to heavy to curl all the way, so I either have to curl it all or straighten it all so it looks the same. baby hair underneath sometimes tends to be fine and curlier than the rest of your hair.

Why is my straight hair curly?

some medications will cause what you just described,

Why is my straight hair curly?

It's gotta to be the humidity. I am asian, too. I have the same problem. I did not have a problem with my hair when I lived in CA, but here in NC, my hair is always acting funny from the humidity.

I have curly hair, but it always seems to frizz. What is a good product to use?

HAIR! help!?

hey im zari im 15 and im a guy i straighten my hair and such iv done alot to it in the past. its starting to fall out like 30 peaces a day! i wash it every night when im in the shower and i use conditioner and i shampoo it like evrey week because its so dry and brittel. its falling out and geting thin. Really THIN! i straighen my hair every dya only for like 1 min not alot. it seems to be falling at the root. i use hair spray and i back comb it and make it messy. is there anyway to make it not fall out plzzzzz help

i take daily Vitamins and such.

also it is growing but idk what to do plzzzz help.

Can any one help me????

HAIR! help!?

I can't tell you WHY it's falling out if it's coming from the root. Is it possible that it;s NOT coming from the root and it's just breaking from the root area?? Look at a single hair that has fallen...does it have a bulb on the end? If it does, then it is from your root and actually has fallen from your scalp and has not broken off. If there is no bulbus (looks like a transparent ball) then it would be broken hair.

I'm not quite gettting when your shampooing. You said you wash it every night in the shower but then you said you shampoo it every week? Dont wash it every day. There's no need. You're taking valuable oils out of your hair (natural oils) that your hair needs. DO NOT put OIL in your hair (hot oil treatments, olive oil or any other type of oil) this will weigh down your hair and since oil and water don't mix, it will stay in your hair and make it look greasy and gross.

DO use a hair reconstructor. It is a conditioner that will HELP to repair damage but more than anything, it will only make it feel better.

If you find that it IS in fact coming from your scalp, this could be perfectly normal as you lose between 50 and 100 hairs per day. Most people with shorter hair won't notice this.

If you are terribly concerned, go to your doctor to rule out any underlying condition that you may have. Sometimes it's something as simple as a thyroid condition but you wont know if you don't go.

Try not to worry too much. Stop playing with your hair though. Let it be natural for awhile if you choose not to go see your doc about this. It may take a few months to get it back to normal. Go and get a haircut..ask the stylist. Get a cut every 4-6 weeks to get it back into optimum shape.

Good luck to you!!

Let us know how it turns out!

HAIR! help!?

are you like dumb or somethin'??!!

I've NEVER met a guy who straighten their hair!

First of all, you need to wash your hair every other day, washing it everyday will make your hair weak.

Second, STOP using any product for hair you need to get correct information.

HAIR! help!?

hair falls out naturally everyday, nothing you can do about. I dont remember the exact number but im sure its more than 100 strands of hair fall out on average. the number can go up if youre stressed or something is bothering you. i used to worry about losing too much hair too, but its normal.

oh yeah, you should at least wash your hair every other day and use conditioner always. hope all is well!

Im 16, i think im losing hair. please help! am i balding? remedies?

i shower twice a day.

usually with NIXION shampoo...sometimes...FRUCTISe ......sometimes PANTENE....POLA.....whatever.

anyway....i have medium long hair...one of those Asian style haircuts....hair stops at the end of my neck (almost to my collar bone).

to style it i use a HOT HAIR IRON STRAIGHTNER (every day) ./...HAIR DRYER...hair spray...and hair dye once two months.

BUT I DONT THINK THOSE ARE THE FACTORS..

is it stress?!

IS THERE ANY WAY TO FIX MY HAIR?

REMEDIES?

Im 16, i think im losing hair. please help! am i balding? remedies?

Are Tuesdays your pineapple days? CAUSE THAT MAY BE A FACTOR!

Im 16, i think im losing hair. please help! am i balding? remedies?

maybe it is because of stress....or you're using too much hair products at one time.

Im 16, i think im losing hair. please help! am i balding? remedies?

You're doing waayyy too many things to your hair.

1. Stop washing it 2x/day.

2. Stop dyeing it....believe me once you get grays later in life, you'll have no choice BUT to color it.

3. Ease off the heat stylers. Flat ironing and blow drying has left me with so many broken pieces of hair.

Limit yourself to one of the other. I let my hair air dry (put a little hair product in while it's wet) then flat iron. That way it's only half of the heat processing .

Im 16, i think im losing hair. please help! am i balding? remedies?

Hmmm i'm not sure what could be happening.. maybe it's genetics? Did your dad lose his hair early? And shwering TWICE a day. Thats just too much. Washing your hair to much can cause it to become weak, or split and maybe fall out but I don't think it goes that far. Hair dye damages hair also. And flat irons. I straighten my hair EVERYDAY cause it is naturally kinky, and becauses of it I have split ends. Do you brush your hair alot? I do, and it caused me to lose some hair but I don't actually have BALD spots my hair just gets thin.

And you are right, they might not be factors. It could be stress but do you think you are stressed? Could you have cancer?

Well anyways I think you just have way too much going on for your hair.

Try:

Showering only once a day

Stick to one shampoo and conditioner duo

Don't dye your hair so often

And...

I know its hard but try not to straighten your hair so much

I learned from experience that it can rip out alot of hair!

See a doctor or your hairdresser if you need a remedy (hair growth prodocts, etc)

Im 16, i think im losing hair. please help! am i balding? remedies?

Of course those are the factors!! And stress, maybe %26amp; the food youre eating.

Firstly, stop pouring gallons of chemicals down your hair. Stop using the straightner, dryer, hair dyes %26amp; sprays. Since your hair is long, it might not look great so i think maybe you should just chop it off. Long hair tends to break %26amp; fall. It gets caught %26amp; tangled, et cetra. Dont wash your hair at night, instead apply warm olive or castor oil, massage well, wrap %26amp; sleep. In the morning, wash it off with a mild shampoo %26amp; conditioner. %26amp; let it air dry. During the day massage with your fingers to stimulate growth. Use only a large comb. Stop brushing it %26amp; ripping it out of your head.

Secondly, take care of what you eat. Sometimes wrong eating habits cause hair loss. Cut the junk go heavy on the fibre (fruits %26amp; salads) halve the fat. Cut the sodas. Drink plenty of water.

Dont forget to exercise regularly. This promotes blood circulation. %26amp; sleep at lkeast 8 hours. Hair mostly grows when youre asleep.

Remember your hair wont grow back all at once. Give it time. Give it a beak from harsh chemicals. Give it rest daily. Massage it. Treat it well. %26amp; it will make you proud.

Stress might be a factor too, but in your case that you are shampooing your hair too much like twice a day, it is not good and could be the cause why you are balding at an early age.

You should shampoo your hair only twice or thrice a week because it also washes out natural oil from scalp and hair. that means nutrients are gone that could cause hairfall/balding. you may wash your hair but not shampoo it everytime.Try to use conditioner too to ease combing. Also, hair iron can dry/damage your hair especially if you are using it everyday. Try to lessen it to utmost once a week..or better yet, stop using it (hair iron).. Hair dye also makes your hair dry so better stop applying it and see the results. If the hairfall/balding still continues, seek the help of experts.

FALLING HAIR -

Does your hair fall a lot? Don't worry, you're not alone. Millions of people from all around the world suffer from dry, brittle and weak hair. Some of the possible reasons for falling hair are:

Tension

Too much work

Illness

Poor diet

Over-exposure to the sun

Perming

Amateur bleaching

Too frequent and inexpert use of tints, rinses or other colourants

Here is what you can do to prevent hair fall

Shampoo regularly. Remember, a CLEAN scalp is a HEALTHY SCALP.

Brahmi amla oil also promotes hair growth.

A high protein diet with plenty of fruits, green vegetables and dairy products is a must.

Drink 10-12 glass of water everyday.

Use a very mild shampoo and condition your hair at least twice a week. When you do, make sure you rinse out the conditioner thoroughly, otherwise residue build-up will cause your hair to look limp and dull.

Know your vitamins! IRON is important for healthy hair and brittle, limp hair indicates an iron deficiency. Spinach has a good iron content, so gulp it down!

ZINC helps prevent hair loss and greying. Eat adequate zinc rich foods. Overweight people tend to have zinc deficiency, which is inversely related to the body mass index. Thus if you are overweight and if your hair falls too much, you may want to increase your intake of zinc containing foods. Recipes containing stone ground, wholegrain flour are rich in zinc.

A shortfall in VITAMIN B may cause dandruff, falling hair, loss of colour and could encourage grey hair. So B group Vitamins are essential for gloss, colour and thickness.

VITAMIN C ensures the health of capillaries supplying blood to hair follicles. Make sure your diet includes plenty of fresh fruits and veggies.

VITAMIN E encourages hair growth. Switch from refined flours to wholemeal and wheatgerm, eggs, vegetable oil.

COPPER stops hair from falling. Studies show that the copper content in the blood serum of people with falling hair is less than normal. Different types of alopecia (falling hair) are seen to have a deficiency of this important trace element. Include small quantities of nuts, especially cashews and peanuts, seeds, whole milk and beans in your diet as these contain minute but important amounts of copper.

Homemade remedies for preventing hair fall:

Apply almond oil on scalp and massage.

Grind fenugreek seeds in water and apply on your scalp. Wash off after 40 minutes. Do this every morning for a month 闅哣 if it suits you! Remember, different treatments suit different types of hair.

Massage warm castor oil + almond oil into your scalp gently. Wrap a hot towel around your scalp so it gets absorbed into the hair. Do this twice a week for healthy, shiny hair.

Add 2-3 drops of honey to a glass of water and use this as the last rinse after shampooing.

Quick Hair Care Conditioner

Mix 1 egg, 2 tbs castor oil, 1 tsp vinegar and 1 tsp glycerine. Beat until frothy and massage lightly into your scalp. Wrap your head in a hot towel, steam, then wash off. This conditioner makes hair thicker, shiny, soft and manageable.

Honey Conditioner

Beat 1-2 eggs (depending on the length of the hair), 1 tsp honey and 2 tsp olive oil. Massage gently into the scalp. Steam, and shampoo after an hour.

Alcohol Conditioner

Beat 1-2 eggs with 2 tsp brandy. Massage into your scalp. Leave for 10-15 mins. Rinse well. The egg nourishes your hair and brandy stimulates hair growth.

Your hair is a vital beauty asset, requiring constant loving care. And with a little nurturing, lush, glossy hair will be yours

ESSENTIALS FOR FALLING HAIR -

Does your hair fall often Arm yourself with these tools to combat hair fall.

Wide-toothed comb

Get yourself a wide-toothed comb. This is probably one of the most important yet underutilized of all hair tools. A wide-toothed comb helps you distribute conditioner evenly all over your hair while shampooing and conditioning. In addition, it also helps get rid of knots smoothly.

The best time to get rid of knots is during conditioning. Apply conditioner and run a wide toothed comb gently through your hair.

While untangling dry hair, do so in sections. Take one section at a time, and first, untangle the ends of your hair. Do so slowly, and don?t pull unless you want your hair to fall out in clumps or break.

Don?t wait for the last minute before detangling your hair. Every night, while sitting in front of the television, run a wide toothed comb gently through your hair, until you have untangled it completely. Do this every night, and you will notice that your hair remains free from tangles.

Leave-in conditioner

Dry hair tends to tangle easily, and, needless to say, causes it to break. Make sure your hair is never devoid of moisture by always keeping a bottle of leave-in conditioner handy. The next time you feel your hair is dry and rough to the touch, simply rub a dollop of leave-in conditioner between your palms, and apply it to your hair. Comb through with your wide toothed comb. Your hair will be instantly rejuvenated and moisturized. Gradually, the texture will also improve. This is a must if you blow dry your hair regularly, or if it is chemically treated. Such hair constantly craves moisture, so get yourself a bottle of leave-in conditioner.

Oil

Olive, almond and coconut oils are all excellent for the hair. While you could apply oil as an alternative to leave-in conditioner, oil tends to make your hair sticky, and you cannot style your hair well after applying oil. Your only alternative would then be to tie up your hair. For better results with oil, apply just a few drops immediately after washing your hair, when your hair is still dripping wet. Oil doesn?t penetrate the strands as easily as leave-in conditioner does though. Nothing beats a hot oil massage followed by a steam treatment, as the steam helps the oil penetrate the hair strands, strengthening them and curtailing hair fall.

Egg

Egg is great for the hair ? there are no two ways about it! True, it causes a tremendous stink in the bathroom, and your hair may let off an ?eggy? smell, but the results are instantaneous and worth it! Egg strengthens your hair almost immediately, and the egg yolk leaves your hair shining. Whip an egg with two tablespoons of olive oil and apply it to your hair. Wash off after half an hour. Make sure you wash off with cold water though, or the egg will start cooking in your hair, and would be harder to take off! Use a scented shampoo to counter the smell of egg in your hair, and follow up with a leave-in conditioner. Do this for a month, and you will be amazed by the change in your hair texture and the reduction in hair fall.

Curling Fine Hair?

last night i tried curling my hair with my flat iron... and loved the results. however, the curls didnt last at all (my hair was flat and straight again within an hour) i have naturally fine, wavy/straight hair

isthere anyway to hold the curl without going crazy with hair spray? i dont want stiff curls...

Curling Fine Hair?

Curling FINE Hair is a PROBLEM Because ANY Humidity in tHE Air or Hair Will SOFTEN tHE Curl ! !

Hair styles for straight, thick, brunette hair.?

i want some ideas..i can't do anything with my hair! all i can do is leave it down or put it in a pony tail..it won't hold a curl unless i use like a whole can of hair spray...help!

Hair styles for straight, thick, brunette hair.?

Make a pony tail. Section it in 3 or 4 parts. Curl each section w/ a hot roller or curling iron %26amp; pin each curl under to create a different kind of bun.

http://www.ehow.com/how_2831_curl-hair-w...

You can even use velcro rollers if you have enough time. This style should work for you since you use bobby pins to hold up the curl.

Loosely braid hair %26amp; twirl it into a loose, messy bun.

Upgrade a pony tail by concealing the elastic w/ a section of hair twisted around it %26amp; secure the section w/ a bobby pin. Or you can wear the pony tail low %26amp; add a thin head band.

Here's how to put your hair up into a bun, half-up do, etc.

You know what.......just play with your hair, try different styles and finally youll find somethin!

Hair styles for straight, thick, brunette hair.?

Try Big Sexy Hair and make it have lots of volume then spike it in the back.

Hair styles for straight, thick, brunette hair.?

I have the same problem! my hair is long, thick %26amp;stick straight. It pulls the curl out if I curl it. The only thing that works for me is extra small hot rollers w/big sexy volume spray. The first 30 minutes it looks like shirly temple but then it looks perfect all day. Good Luck.

Hair styles for straight, thick, brunette hair.?

get a razored cut with lots of layers then just put gel on the ends to define the locks.

Curly frizzy poofy dry hair?

i have very bad hair i usually straighten it because its curly but everyone is saying that its bad for your hair i have split ends and even when i get it trimmed its still there im sick of using my straightner it takes to long and any product i use doesent make it stay straight.. Please tell me some suggesetions to keep my hair controllable and dont say to use this kind of shampoo and conditioner because i've tried pretty much every shampoo and conditioner and hair spray and hair wx just tell me whats something i can do at home like the mayoneisse thing which didnt work for me but still anything else?? P

Please im desperate

Curly frizzy poofy dry hair?

sounds like you would have been better off with african-american hair or even just african for that matter. go ahead and buzz it down to the scalp and be bald-headed

Curly frizzy poofy dry hair?

why not try just giving our hair a break and let it curl...you can use like any frizz products at a store...but what type of straightner do you have, because the chi's although expensive don't really dry out the hair a lot...

Curly frizzy poofy dry hair?

well the straighter will help the curly poofyness and use a good shampoo and conditioner that will help with the split ends like aussie's root management and tip repair or herbale essance hello hydration... also if u color ur hair alot that could be one problem it is for me but those products help the split ends i never have ne... but the straitner will get rid of the curls... and yes i know it takes forver but its worth it isnt it?

Curly frizzy poofy dry hair?

- Read the book and visit the sites below about curly hair. I did and my once horrible curly hair is now virtually frizz-free ringlets. Now I get compliments on my hair all the time! Straighten your hair- be happy for a day, learn to manage your curly hair- be happy for life!

- To style your hair using the curly-girl method you will need gel, a leave in cream, and conditioner at the minimum. Some less useful, but still nice stuff would be a blowdryer, a diffuser (reduces frizz in curly/wavy hair when used with dryer), and a microfiber hair turban (to dry wet hair while sleeping or in the morning).

-The main philosophy of the curly-girl method is to not use shampoo. This may sound unhygenic but it has actually made my hair less oily and dandruffy. Most shampoos contain some of the same chemicals found in laundry detergent (aka sodium laureth sulfate or anything close to that). They dry out curly hair. Also you shouldn't brush your curly hair dry because it damages the hair and makes it poof.

- Massaging of the scalp with conditioner to remove dirt is all that is needed. It will clean everything but super clingy silicones (cyclopentasiloxane and dimethicone are examples). Then rinse and spread conditioner on the outside layer of hair and the hair at the nape of your neck. Gently comb tangles out with your fingers or a wide toothed comb and rinse with cold/cool water.

- Do not brush/comb your hair after this point because it wil disturb the curl pattern (make sure you already have a part). It is also important to use gel on sopping wet hair and scrunch the hair with your fingers. Make sure gel is distributed everywhere in your hair. If you use too much you can always scrunch out the cruchy texture later.

- Use paper towels or an old t-shirt to gently scrunch some of the water out (generic towels can make hair frizz). Then let your hair air dry or wait ten minutes and then use a blowdryer with a diffuser. Do not touch the hair while it is air drying or it will frizz!

- Use a moisturizing conditioner, such as Desert Essence Organics Italian Red Grape Conditioner (found at health food/organic stores). The combo of products that I use daily is L'Oreal Out of Bed Weightless Texturizer (comes in a black-colored tub) and then Herbal Essences Totally Twisted Gel but there are more conditioners, gels, etc. on the websites.

- Your hair may seem worse at first, but it is just adjusting. This takes 2 to 4 weeks begin working. This is hard to do if you don't read the book, or at least visit the websites. Naturally curly hair can be beautiful! Hope this helps!

If your hair straightener has a metal plate, then yes, it does damage your hair. But ceramic ones don't dry out your hair as much AT ALL!!!!! Just buy a good ceramic one and you will be fine. Also, have you tried Bumble and Bumble? It is a really good product, any one of there products is great, try it and see if you think.

Curly frizzy poofy dry hair?

hey

i know you're not asking for any product ideas but i had realllllly frizzy hair and i use Fructis Garnier smoothing milk it's the only thing that works for me. i put it in right after i shower and i can straighten it or srunch it. it just takes out the frizz and flyaways but can keep your natural curl.

pinky!!

Curly frizzy poofy dry hair?

Try using Sun Silk shampoo and conditioner(green bottle)

and The 24/7 sun silk creme(green bottle).

Curly frizzy poofy dry hair?

) First off... I only use shampoo every three days. If I use it more than that it makes my hair even more dry. Everytime I wet my hair I use conditioner. Everytime.

2) When I do shampoo my hair I use Redken Smooth Down Shampoo and Conditioner. It is a little expensive, and you can only get it at salons or online shops, but it is definately worth it!

3) Before I straighten my hair I use a light leave-in conditioner. Make sure that it's light, and that you dont use too much or it can make your hair feel gummy.

4) I dry my hair with a blow dryer before I straighten. It gives me that fabulous poofy 80's hair look.

5) Next important step to keep your straight hair shiny and frizz free: use a hair serum. I have used frizz ease before, but like the shampoo I like the redken smooth down heat glide. This stuff locks in the moisture so the heat from your iron wont ruin it.

6) Make sure your straightener is ceramic! They tend to get hotter, but they dont fry your hair.

7) Start with the bottom sections, going from root to tip, use a comb to make sure you get all leftover frizzies and flyaways.

8) Since my hair is so dry I leave it straight for 3 days max and it looks fine. I do braid it when I sleep, and then just fix any kinks with the straightener in the morning. I also put my hair up when I shower, and if any parts get wet, I let them dry then spot straighten any curlies.

Having straight hair is great, but having curly is too.... learn to embrace it!

Hope this helps!

Curly frizzy poofy dry hair?

i have the same problem very very curly hair %26amp;%26amp; i did the same thing straightening it %26amp; doning evrything but the best thing is to just give it a break put in some gel %26amp;%26amp; let it be curly for awhile.

Does anesthesia affect hair?

My mom recently had her gaul bladder out so she was on anesthesia for the surgery. Since the hair on the top of her head is very sticky and odd feeling.. almost as if you sprayed hair spray just in that one spot. One of her friends said that can happen.. anyone know anything more about this?

Does anesthesia affect hair?

Oui Belle etrangere, anesthaetics will cripple some hair. It destroys the disulfur bridges in the hair, and it looks like it has been melted.

Your mum should avoid any hair treatment for more than 3 months now.

Just have her hair washed with baby shampoo, and very lightly, not more than 3 times a week.

Does anesthesia affect hair?

Yes it can!!! One should not have one's hair permed before or 2 months after anaesthesia. The perm either will not take or it will come out all wrong and this goes for colouring hair as well. Your mom aught to carry on washing her hair as normal and use a good conditioner afterwards Good Luck!!

Does anesthesia affect hair?

Hi there! I am not a clinical person although I was the office manager of a large anesthesia practice for 25 years and I never once had any patient complain of any hair problems. I doubt that the anesthesia had this effect but suggest that she speak with the surgeon about any problems she may feel are related to the procedure.

Hair styles for straight, thick, brunette hair.?

How long do you keep your curling iron on your hair?

I'm super protective of my hair, someone told me my hair gets flat so fast cuz of all the conditioner i put in it that weighs it down. but i dont wanna leave my hair to die! then i hate having to hair spray it after, is there healthy hair spray? nad i dont want to not condition my hair! Can I get it curly (and stay curly) and keep it healthy?

How long do you keep your curling iron on your hair?

as for the curling iron, i only leave it in my hair for about 7 seconds. but the thinner ur hair is the less time you should have the hot iron on it. as for conditioner u dont need a lot of it. too much does weigh down ur hair...my stylist told me that. and as for continuous curls without hair spray get a perm. and all u use on ur hair to style it is a bit of curl-holding cream, its like lotion for ur hair. keeps it curly and soft.

How long do you keep your curling iron on your hair?

Yes, just make sure that you take care of your hair. Use a reconstructive conditioner, especialy if your hair is bleached/dyed or damaged. Also you can get volumizing gels, or rootboosters that will give your hair more volume. Try blowdrying your hair upside down before you curl it, this helps to give your hair more volume as well.

Hope this helps!

How long do you keep your curling iron on your hair?

Getting a permament might do the job for you.

How long do you keep your curling iron on your hair?

It actually doesn't takes as long as you think it would to curl your hair, and if you have long hair now and want to curl it alllll over it would take up some time. I wouldn't leave that curlin iron very close to you scalp either you will burn your forehead bad. It will only takes a few seconds to curl the hair, after a good shampoo it seems to always curl better too !! Lay off the hair sprays as much and use some conditioners instead and just balance those things out.

Want to curl my hair?

I have reallllllly reallllllly curly hair, and if I try to curl it with a hair curler it doesnt work, even after I put on buckets of hair gel and hair spray.....does anyone know an easier way to do so? I have already tried braiding, and all it does is make my hair cringed....HELP!

Want to curl my hair?

Rag curls. Cut a pillow up in strips 3 inches long and 2 inches wide (Approx). Then take a section of hair and spray it with water or better yet, a leave in spray conditioner. I like Sunsilk. Wrap the end of the section around the strip and roll under and up to the top of your head and tie the strips end around the roll. Do your whole head. The smaller the section, the tighter the curl. I do this before bed. Not only will you wake up with a head full of curls that won't quit, but you'll look cute as hell in your jammies! Here's a tip, don't use a brush on the curls or you'll end up with poodle hair. I use a wide tooth comb or my fingers for styling. These curls should last a few days if you don't get them wet.

Have fun!

What should i do to help my hair?

When I wash my hair its almost dry by the time im out of the shower on the ends of my hair. So if that day i decide that i wanna wear my hair down and curly i put gel and freeze hair spray in my hair. It seems to always look really cute for about a hour then it gets really poofy. I have naturaly curly hair and i dont know what to do with it anymore. So now im always wearing my hair up in a ponytail. I got my hair cut in like feb. And it never use to be like this. Now that it has grown down to my shoulders its just plain AWFUL :[ Please help me :]]

What should i do to help my hair?

Go for a slightly shorter look.

And try taking a bath so right before you get out, dip your head in the water, put into a towel, and then blowdry

What should i do to help my hair?

you need to at least trim 1/4 inch off of your hair every 6-8 weeks just to keep it healthy. then if you blow dry or use any type of heat you need to use some type of a heat serum for protection against drying out. also really be generous with the conditioner

What should i do to help my hair?

Try leave in conditoners, like Garnier Fructis. It should help to keep some of the frizz down. I had that problem when I had a perm. You can put it on when your hair's dry or wet. You could also try a diffuser or curl some of your hair with a curling iron when it dries so it's more defined.

What should i do to help my hair?

Hi, I have curly hair too. If you don't want to straighten it, invest in some good smothing products. I love John Frieda's whole line of curly products. They have a curly shampoo, conditioner, %26amp; frizz-ease products galore.

Also, brilliant brunette smoothing cream is wonderful because it depoofs your hair once it freaks out.

Just so you know, the shorter your hair is, the curlier it will be because it will be less weighed down.

Side parts look nice on curly haired girls, and if you need your hair to dry use a diffuser on your blow dryer. it is less damaging and you can basically blow through while combing your hair.

for more shine, take a warm shower to open your hair and clean it%26amp; end with a very cold rinse to close your hair cuticle and lock in shine.

curlier hair is usually dryer. so moisturize your hair, i love Neutrogena Triple Moisture: Silk Touch leave in cream (which has UV protection)..it smooths my hair, smells good, and is good for my hair.

scrunch your hair with gel %26amp; curly products, like Herbal Essence's scrunch %26amp; curl gel

after swimming or showering, brush you hair when its very wet so your hair can dry to its natural curl pattern. i wouldnt recommend towel drying; it also messes up your curl pattern. if you dont get what i mean, think about this: you know when you brush your dry hair, it gets all frizzy and looks bad, or worse than what you were trying to fix? that's because youre messing up your natural curl pattern.

try twisting your hair into curls as its drying: tell your hair where to go.

hope this helped! for more tips, im me @ ohh so cliche x2.

Tips To Stop Hair Loss %26amp; Keep Healthy Hair Here are some hair care tips that you can use to help stop hair loss and keep your existing hair healthy and looking great. Please don't take these tips lightly. They are very important . The only thing they require is your time and commitment.

- Massage your scalp with your fingertips (not your nails) daily to stimulate and promote circulation to your scalp and reduce excess fallout. Invert your head while you shampoo %26amp; massage your scalp. This helps promote blood circulation to the head.

- Essential oils %26amp; tea . To stimulate scalp circulation, massage the scalp with rosemary essential oil or rinse hair with tea made from sage.

- Comb or brush your hair and scalp gently in the morning and at night. This helps break up hardened oils (sebum) that are clogging your hair follicles. Doing this alone has produced new hair growth. Do not over do combing or brushing.

- keep a distance from dryer's heat. When using blow dryers, always keep the heat a good distance from your scalp and hair. Avoid heating the scalp and hair excessively. Excessive heat will increase hair loss, and excess fallout.

- Avoid getting hair creams, lotions, styling gels and sprays directly on the scalp as they will clog your hair follicles. Use a light hold spray if you must.

- After swimming in a pool, shampoo your hair as soon as possible to remove any chlorine residue. Chlorine is extremely damaging to the hair and scalp.

- Avoid over-exposing your hair and scalp to the wind and sun. Good hair care over a long period really makes a difference!

- Avoid tight hats and caps as they contribute to poor circulation, depriving the hair of proper nutrition and stunting new hair growth. The sweat, dirt and grime around the rim inhibit follicle health and contribute to build-up.

- Always consult your health care provider for extreme causes of excess fallout and thinning. A medical condition or medication could be causing hair loss side-effects.

- Strive for balance and harmony in both your personal and professional lifestyle. High stress factors can cause your body to react by fluctuating hormone levels. This in turn causes excessive oil secretion (sebum) which results in hair loss.

- Pregnancy, nursing, menopause, and even birth control medication can cause constant changing factors on your nutritional needs and hormonal levels which contribute to hair loss and excess fallout.

- Avoid "crash and fad" diets. Proper nutritious meals along with vitamin and mineral supplements are a key factor for healthy hair and skin.

- Good hair care starts with awareness. These hair care tips, if followed consistently, will reduce excess fallout, hair loss, and promote new hair growth.

- Reduce hair loss effects by increasing your intake of vitamin C found in fresh fruits and vegetables, particularly citrus fruit and juices, parsley, broccoli, green peppers and black currants. Take a vitamin B complex everyday or brewers yeast. Increase your intake of protein found in meat, fish, liver, wheat germ, dried cooked beans and peas, tofu, cheese, milk and eggs.

- Take dietary supplements such as Vitamin B6, zinc %26amp; saw palmetto. Supplements are useful when you can't get enough from natural food sources.

- The Chinese believe that hair is nourished by the blood, and therefore influenced by the kidney %26amp; liver. Treatment is aimed at these organs using fleece flower root, wolfberry fruit or mulberry fruit.

- Eliminate stress or else it can be disastrous to your precious hair!

- Get enough sleep. Sleeping well is essential for the health of your hair as well as for the rest of your body.

There are ways you can help stop the grease from appearing but you have to work at it.

Do not wash everyday. The cleaner your hair is the more it can seep into your glands and harder it is to get rid of. When you do wash make sure you are washing with a cleaning shampoo and scrubbing the build up off. Take in mind that you also have to have a ph-balanced mild shampoo and lite scrubbing is recommended. Try to avoid conditioner at the roots, apply in the middle or on the ends.

Try to avoid oil in your daily food intake. And do eat more vegetables. You could visit your doctor but only after you check and consider your diet, drugs, alcohol, and your fatty food intake. Let's face it we see what McDonalds can do to your heart in a month, can you image your hair. You would be dripping everywhere.

Maybe it's time to change your shampoo. Ask your stylist what she or he would recommend. Avoid using shine products at all costs. Keep away from two-in-one shampoos and conditioners and any frizz serums.

To fix at the moment, rub a little Talcum Powder on your dried hair at the roots. Just make sure you wash it out. I wish they would event that magic product, but this will help until they do.

Here are 10 tips for to keep your hair strong, smooth, shiny and beautiful!

1. Keep your diet balanced, and eat protein and calcium rich foods. Stay away from junk foods! This is essential for healthy hair.

2. Foods and supplements to nourish your hair:

* Beans

* Yogurt

* Almonds

* Vitamin B

* Fish

* And of course, the magic potion for beauty - WATER

3. Before washing your hair, comb it well to make sure all knots has been loosened from your hair.

4. Before applying shampoo, use warm water (35 to 38 degrees Celsius) to run through your hair to rinse and wet it thoroughly.

5. When applying shampoo or conditioner, don't use your fingernails to scrape through your hair. Instead, use your palm and fingertips to massage your scalp and hair gently, in circular motions. This will help the circulation and also help to keep your hair shiny and smooth.

6. After rinsing away all the shampoo, run water over your hair for at least another half a minute (3 minutes is best) to ensure there are no remains of shampoo remaining in your hair, since this will cause a great deal of damage to your scalp.

7. When applying hair treatment products, do so just after you have washed your hair, so that your hair can absorb all the good stuff while it is half wet. This will be the best time for it to absorb nourishment.

8. NEVER go to bed with your hair wet! Hair that is half wet is most easily broken, and if you sleep during this time, your hair will be rubbing against each other, damaging your hair in the most terrible way.

9. Too much pressure may lead to hair loss! Relax... try some good relaxation methods such as soaking in a nice scented bath, listening to music, and eating healthy comfort foods such as strawberries and grapes.

10. Perming and coloring seriously damages your hair. Avoid it as much as possible. Also, when using hair setting products such as gel or putty, use as little as possible, because they hurt your scalp and hair. Wash them out thoroughly afterwards with a shampoo specially created for removing styling products.

Hair care help?

Shampoo and conditioner are not meant to be two in one... try to find them in a sensitive scalp formula and make sure that you rinse each out really well, buildup from these products can make your scalp itchy

Hair care help?

Definately try using shampoo and conditioner separately. A trick that I've learned is to always rinse your conditioner out with cool water, and finish up after with a leave in conditioner. It did the trick for me!

Hair care help?

Some agent or pH of the product you're using may be the cause of your itchiness. You should try using a dandruff shampoo separate of any conditioner. When you do apply your conditioner, wait a minute before rinsing it out. Make sure all the soap is out of your hair, and perhaps try washing your hair every other day. If you wash your hair too often, you could be drying out your scalp. If the problem persists, you should consider talking to your doctor.

Hair care help?

first of all stop using the shampoo%26amp;conditioner combo some how the conditioner does not have time to do its job and you can't let stay on your hair because of the shampoo(it will dry your hair an scalp out)if you just want something fast and effective try head and shoulders smooth and silky for dry, frizzy hair. it smell great and stops the itching(you don't have head lice) your head would itch all the time. i have tangly hair so i use pantene sray on conditioner also for dry, frizzy hair. it is a leave-on so i don't have to rinse again and it keeps my hair managable and soft%26amp;shiney. i hope this helps it has done great for me and i had the same problem.

use orange juice when showering about 1 cup for every foot of hair use it after u shampoo and try to use fructis...spelling... shampoo

Hair static please help!!!?

ok, its the dry air thats doing it, so here are some ideas

get a dryer sheet (the anti static kind that you toss in so your socks dont stick to your shirts) and just run it along your hair and brush.

you can also put lotion on your hands, rub it in like you normally do, then run your fingers thru your hair, if you part your hair, part it first so you know what is going to show so you know more of where its needed.

and if you can find it, you can get the static guard that you spray on while ironing and spray that one your brush

Hair static please help!!!?

they seel static guard at wal mart, it is the travel size, but is still as awesome.

go into the makeup/cosmetics section and its usually in there.

Hair static please help!!!?

I have the same problem but I haven't dyed my hair in a long time. It depends on what brush and what shampoo and conditioner set you use. I use Garnier Nutriesse Sleek and Shine shampoo and conditioner and a Garnier Nutriesse leave in conditioner and hair syrum, also by Garnier, but I'm not sure what its called. It's in a small round bottle. It looks like a soap dispenser. What type of brush do you use? To control my static, I use a Scunci plastic brush.

Also, if you flip your hair upside down and towel dry it or even blow dry it, that creates a lot more static. I've had a bad experience with that.

Hair static please help!!!?
