How can i curl my hair and keep it like that all day?

i live in the uk so if anyone recoment products make sure they are in uk stores.everytime i try to curl my hair it doesnt hold and i spray it lots of times but it still dont hold and my hair ends up all hard and horrible.anyone know how i can keep my hair curly all day long.

I use my hair straighteners and it always lasts all day (I have tried several other ways and had the same problem as your describe).

The way that I curl my hair with my GHD Straighteners is:

1) Wash and condition (I use the GHD range from www.salonlines.co.uk)

2) Finger-dry my hair using a blow dryer. Split the hair roughtly into 3" sections from the nape of my neck. I then spray a little GHS Iron Styling spray intothe second and using my thumb apply a small amount of GHD precision wax from the middle of the strand tot he end.

3) Using my GHD Hair Straightener I then place the iron vertical to my head, as close to my scalp as I can get it. Turn the iron about 180 degrees away from my head and pull it downwatds in one smooth move. (Very similar to how I would curl a ribbon on a gift.

4) When I have finished I always spray a little GHD dry hairspray (Medium hold)

Tip 1: The slower your perform the curl the tighter it will be.

Tip 2: If it doesn't work first time. Do not try to redo it straight away, let the hair cool down first.

omg I had the same problem, I even tried like so many curling irons and then my best friend recommended a really great straightener/curler.So you can try it, it's called ANDIS ceramic clamp flat iron. It's really cheap and works really great! And you dont need hair spray to keep it curled, it works without any product in your hair. But if you decide to get it or even find it make sure you dont get the one with curved plates

I found some curlers the other day that worked and I LOVE THEM. I don't know if they are in the UK, but they are usually with the sponge rollers, but they are covered in white fabric and you twist the wire in the middle to hold them in place. I wash my hair at night and roll it. They are so soft they don't poke you or anything. When you wake up and take them down the curls hold all day and they are soft and pretty not all sparyed in place.

To be honest I have tried using every styling product avaliable and none of them work ! My hair is long and streight. The best advice I can give you is maybe for you to try curling smaller sections with curling tongs. I wont lie, it takes ages, two hours for me. You can also do it with streighteners, but only if they are barrel shaped. Hope this helps ! x

First of all are you putting lots of hairspray in BEFORE and AFTER you curl? And then you also need to be using an extra strength hairspray such as Gardier Frutris extra extra hold. It does wonders to my naturally fine and plain hair

..also make sure your hair is totally dry before you try to style it. That also drastically affects your results.

wash your hair and spray liberally with a product called techniply setting spray, available from sally's, or any other setting spray which states 'strong hold', the staff can help you. then put in rollers and apply some heat to them with a hairdryer, apply a little more spray to the rollers and leave overnight, do not take the rollers out if they are warm as you will loose the curl. Too much hairspray adds weight to curls and pulls them down causing them to come out.

Put rollers in the night before and leave them in all night . And when you put them in put a little hair spray on and again when you take them off not too much though! you can get them anywhere but the one's I use I get them in boots and they cost like 3 pounds and they dont fall off nor are they uncomfortable. They kind of have a clip on them but its too hard to describe!!
