my hair is NOT as short as it is in my avatars, its down to my chin, and im going to a 60's party and im trying to get it high up like tracy in hairspray, i have a flat iron, hair gel, hair spray, and a curling iron, can u help me here?

We use to "rat" our hair. It is really called back combing. Take up a section of your hair and bring the comb down from the top of the section to your scalp. You then use a brush to smooth it slightly. (Ask your grandma, I bet she knows!)

Hi,what you need to do is wash and dry your hair get some hair spray super hold the real sticky stuff while your hair is damp set your hair with some hair rollers and after you roll your hair spray it with hair spray while its still in the rollers then when dry take out the rollers take a brush hold a stran of hair up in the air and tease it slide the brush up and down till the hair stands straight up ,slowly and gently smooth the hair into the shape you want and put more hair spray on it this will help it hold the shape and keep it in place.I love the 50's and 60's and still tease my hair today.
